Youth Leadership 2020
Are you interested in becoming a leader in your community?
We are seeking youth and young adults (ages 14-24) statewide to participate in a series of leadership workshops/ trainings
free of charge. We are looking for youth who are willing to advocate for themselves and their peers in reference to mental health and behavioral health challenges. These young people sometimes may not look like your traditional leaders as they may be currently expelled, in foster care or in a group home, experiencing homelessness and/or gang involvement.
There is no experience needed; only that the youth are interested in becoming leaders, dependable, and are willing to attend required meetings.
Leadership Training Topics and activities include:
-How to Tell Your Story/Advocacy 101
-Mental Health First Aid/
Wellness Recovery Action Planning
-Peer Support/ Conflict Resolution
2020 Leadership series will be held Wednesday, June 24th-Friday June 26th
TRAINING WILL BE VIRTUAL VIA ZOOM
RECEIVE A $75 STIPEND FOR FULLY PARTICIPATING !!!
