Youth Leadership 2021
Are you interested in becoming a leader in your community?
We are seeking youth and young adults (ages 14-25) statewide to participate in a series of leadership workshops/ trainings
free of charge. We are looking for youth who are willing to advocate for themselves and their peers in reference to mental health and behavioral health challenges. These young people sometimes may not look like your traditional leaders as they may be currently expelled, in foster care or in a group home, experiencing homelessness and/or gang involvement.
There is no experience needed; only that the youth are interested in becoming leaders, dependable, and are willing to attend required meetings.
Leadership Training Topics and activities include:
Self Advocacy 101 - Peer Support- Healthy Relationships - Cultural Competency- Financial Literacy- Mental Health First aid
2021 Leadership series will be held Wednesday, June 23rd-Friday June 25th
